The Talent Development Department of Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP has an opening for a Professional Development Coordinator in the New York office. The Professional Development Coordinator is responsible for handling a variety of responsibilities related to the coordination of in-house training and mentoring programs, firm-wide retreats and providing support as needed for the associate development process. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: overseeing logistics, developing evaluations and managing follow up for in-house training programs; collecting, organizing, and maintaining CLE applications and course materials for in-house training programs; providing logistical support for firm-wide retreats; developing internal marketing emails for the department; updating the firm-wide training calendar to include all in-house training programs; managing and updating the PLI roster and responding to questions as needed; and serving as a liaison to Professional Development Leaders and other partners and counsel to help manage their associate development meetings.
Four-year college degree preferred and/or prior experience with CLE accreditation rules and requirements.
Minimum of three years of administrative experience in professional services, corporate or law firm environment.
Strong proficiency using databases, online search functions, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent interpersonal, client service, communications (both oral and written), and organizational skills a must.
Attention to detail.
Ability to handle a number of responsibilities simultaneously and work well under pressure.
Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
Ability to manage time and prioritize workload effectively.
Familiarity with the legal profession helpful.
Flexibility to work additional hours, as necessary.
