The Manager of Recruiting will be primarily responsible for managing the recruiting efforts for the firm’s Texas offices. This position is an exempt position based in the Houston office and reports to the Chief Talent Officer (CTO) and works closely with the Hiring Partners in each of the Texas offices, Section Heads, Department leadership and the Managing Partner.
The ability to work effectively, both independently and in a team environment with a diverse group of attorneys, administration and staff is critical to success.
Manage all aspects of attorney recruitment, including lateral and student recruiting.
Lead the summer associate and fall recruitment programs in the Texas offices. Work closely with Hiring Partners to accomplish goals.
Provide leadership and vision in the development of law school student and attorney recruiting strategies.
Develop and implement strategies to brand and market the firm to law schools and guide campus-specific marketing initiatives.
Manage all associate hiring, and work closely with the CTO, Section Heads and Department leadership on lateral partner and counsel hiring.
Establish and maintain tools (including, but not limited to, an applicant tracking database) for measuring the success of recruitment efforts within and across practice groups and offices.
Continuously improve upon processes and information sharing systems.
Research lateral target candidates and prepare intelligence reports on targets that include attorneys’ background, significant cases/clients, and competitor firms.
Compile and analyze competitive data, best practices, and trends in the market.
Cultivate and maintain working relationships with legal search firms, law schools and industry publishers (including Vault and Chambers Associate).
Participate in firm-wide recruiting initiatives.
Work closely with the Manager of Diversity & Inclusion and the Diversity Committee to drive efforts to actively recruit diverse candidates at the firm.
Manage recruiting staff with clear performance expectations, measures for accountability, and professional development opportunities.
Monitor the annual budget for lawyer recruiting activities and operations.
Work collaboratively with other Administrative departments.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required.
A minimum of 6 years of experience in a law firm or other professional services environment.
