Attorney Professional Development, CLE Management, Professional Legal Management
The Attorney Training Assistant will be responsible for providing support to all functions related to formal CLE programs and compliance, and informal programming.
Assisting with year-end CLE reporting, new associate training programs, special workshops, application training programs and client training programs;
Processing Attorney registration forms for filing with the OCA, including sending e-mail reminders, monitoring late renewals and assisting with the preparation of application extensions;
Working with IT and vendors to upgrade and improve the operating procedures in the CLE database;
Working with members of the Legal Personnel department to organize, request and print CLE materials and departure packages;
Responsible for all aspects of a training program, including but not limited to coordinating program dates and materials, monitoring and tracking attendance at training programs and managing the CLE database to store and track all CLE-related information;
Working with the CLE Partners and members of the Legal Personnel department to help improve training programs;
Providing training resources for rotating associate;
Soliciting and compiling feedback from CLE evaluations surveys to implement new ideas and enhance programs;
Compiling ideas for cases and deals to showcase as part of Highlighted Matters series;
Working with the Associate Director to facilitate outreach to incoming associates.
Compiling live attendance and user view statistics for all CLE and training programs on a regular basis;
Assisting with orientation related tasks including, compiling onboarding materials, office checks, lunch calls and office tours;
Assisting with recruiting efforts including, Super Saturdays, hospitality suites, lunch calls and on-line searches as necessary; and
Performing other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of related work experience in a legal or other professional services environment;
Ability to work and interact with attorneys at all levels ;
Ability to gain a strong knowledge of the Firm, its culture, practices and policies;
Excellent organization and communication skills in addition to superior judgment;
Experience and ability to use computer applications including Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, PeopleSoft and other legal personnel and recruiting applications built specifically for the Firm;
Ability to work well under pressure and coordinate several activities at one time;
Ability to appropriately negotiate interactions with partners and other individuals who have severe time constraints;
Capable of solving problems and meeting deadlines;
Ability to deal discreetly with confidential information; and
