Husch Blackwell LLP is a full-service litigation and business law firm with multiple locations across the United States, serving clients with domestic and international operations. We have an immediate opening in our Kansas City or St. Louis office for an Enterprise Application Manager.
The Enterprise Application Manager is responsible for supporting the firm’s enterprise and practice facing applications. This position will manage a team of individuals tasked with supporting and maintaining all of the firm’s enterprise applications. Essential job functions include:
Responsible for the administration and maintenance of applications within the applications team.
Responsible for enterprise and other practice facing applications.
Schedules and performs systems operations, upgrades, maintenance and modifications.
Acts as technical lead for troubleshooting relating to enterprise applications.
Responsible for capacity planning, quality control, testing and documentation for the firm’s applications.
Work with vendors to ensure that applications current.
Maintain documentation on enterprise configurations.
Work with Sr. Manager of Development adhering to procedures for control of programs and documentation.
Maintain a general working knowledge of all applications and in-house enhancements. Has a clear understanding of the integration touch points and dependencies between systems.
Collaborate with team members to assure they are up to date with documentation and knowledge to support firm enterprise software.
Assure Issue / Ticket resolution is meeting acceptable service levels to maintain superior service experience for end users.
Defines, analyzes and evaluates business systems and user, department and practice group needs relating to technology solutions.
Makes recommendations to Director of Project Management and other Firm personnel on modifications, enhancements, replacements and other improvements to the Firm’s practice facing applications.
Provides year end budget for all enterprise applications including upgrades, new purchases, and associated costs
Provides project management functions for projects and activities including but not limited to project scoping, budgeting, task scheduling, resource recommendations and skill alignment.
Coordinates with other Information Technology personnel on issues related to deployment of the Firm’s practice facing applications.
Responds to user issues routed by the Help Desk Analysts which are related to any practice facing applications. Provides feedback to Help Desk Analysts regarding solutions to identified issues.
Provides assistance to Help Desk Analysts and firm users after normal business hours.
Other duties as coordinated or assigned by the Director of Project Management.
Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in related field; or combination of education and commensurate work experience required.
Related experience in a professional services environment preferred.
Minimum 5 years management experience
5 – 7 years of hands on experience in application implementation, administration and support required.
Strong Knowledge on the Windows Server Administration (IIS Administration Preferred).
Experience with eDOCS, Net Documents, Imanage, contract and vendor management/collaboration.
Experience with programming languages VB.NET, ASP.NET, C# preferred.
Experience with Microsoft SharePoint 2016 and Office 365 preferred.
RDBMS experience in SQL Server; skill in creating MS SQL scripts associated with form updates and database changes including insertion of data into existing tables.
Proficient with developing applications and reports that leverage Microsoft Excel and Access, SQL Server databases and SQL Reporting services.
Ability to work independently in the technical analysis, evaluation, and resolution of large enterprise application production issues or problems, with little or no assistance, and to make decisions and recommendations to remediate those issues or problems.
Proficient with conceptual, logical and physical database design, stored procedures, views and SSIS packages.
Proficient with standard project management methodologies.
