Chapman and Cutler is seeking to hire a Regional Technology Support Specialist to sit in our New York office in midtown Manhattan. This person primarily will be responsible for supporting end-user and office technologies for the Firm’s East Coast locations in New York, Washington, D.C. and Charlotte. The successful candidate will work closely with the entire Information Systems team to ensure a stable and high-performing computing experience.
Provide on-site and remote user support and guidance. Ensure a stable and positive end user computing experience.
Meet established trouble ticket guidelines for problem resolution and escalation, if necessary.
Install and setup computer hardware and peripherals.
Setup and support mobile devices.
Maintain a current inventory of all IT related equipment for each office as designated by the IS Department.
Set up equipment/services required for internal meetings and client conferences.
Provide proactive and timely input, suggestions, feedback on process and system issues and emerging needs; take an active role in development and implementation of processes and procedures.
Support office moves, expansions and upgrades.
B.A. or B.S. or equivalent degree with coursework in computer science, mathematics, management information systems, or related fields of study; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training.
2 - 4 years of experience working in a medium to large law firm is preferred.
Thorough knowledge of law firm applications including document management and e?mail systems. Experience with the Mac OS and MS Office for Mac is highly desirable.
Demonstrated knowledge of basic local area networking. Computer/hardware and software troubleshooting experience.
Experience with troubleshooting network printers, MFPs and copiers.
Experience with mobile devices, specifically supporting the iOS platform. Experience with MDM (mobile device management) platforms a plus.
Demonstrated experience in end user support and basic training as well as with A/V equipment, e.g., videoconferencing, projectors, etc.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to function well in a teamwork-oriented environment.
Works well under pressure, paying close attention to detail and deadlines.
Note that some travel to our other offices will be required to fulfill the needs of the position.
