Calibrate Legal has been exclusively retained by Thompson Hine LLP to recruit a Senior Manager of Legal Talent (SR Manager) to be based in their New York office. We are seeking a seasoned talent management professional with a strategic mindset who can effectively lead the lateral partner and associate recruiting initiatives for the firm’s New York office. A key leadership role in the firm and the NY office, the ideal candidate will be a highly effective communicator with demonstrated strengths in building relationships and working collaboratively with others across the firm and throughout the legal and business community. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a successful leadership track record for addressing complex talent sourcing and management challenges to include: (1) exceptional instincts, judgment and discretion; (2) leveraging relationships and networks to achieve results; and, (3) effectively navigating in a dynamic, multi-office culture where priorities shift to meet changing business needs.
In addition to leading lateral partner and associate recruitment, the SR Manager will oversee new lawyer on-boarding as well as the creation and implementation of practice and firm level lawyer training programs. This individual will also manage other professional development initiatives for non-partner lawyers in the NY office.
Candidates should have a minimum of seven years’ experience recruiting lawyers, preferably with experience in strategic, high-level partner recruitment. A Bachelor’s degree is required; a JD is preferred.
