The Legal Recruitment Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the associate recruitment process, including recruitment of first year associates, lateral associates, and summer associates, for the New York office. The Manager will report to the Business and Talent Services Directors, as well as office leadership, including the managing shareholders and hiring shareholders.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Communicate regularly with office leadership concerning hiring needs and potential candidates.
Work with office leadership on strategic identification and development of lateral associate candidate pipelines, including managing relationships with search firms.
Coordinate recruitment process for lateral associate candidates from beginning to end, including maintaining applicant database, screening candidate qualifications, managing interview process, and communicating with candidates and headhunters regarding candidate status.
Coordinate with Legal Recruitment staff and other administrative departments (g., Human Resources, Conflicts) to complete various recruitment-related checks (e.g., background, conflicts, references, bar status, etc.) and new hire-related paperwork as well as other employment-related processes.
Plan and manage on-campus legal recruitment efforts for the New York office summer associate program, including maintaining relationships with law school recruiting coordinators and strategically driving efforts to increase and improve firm visibility and profile at targeted schools, planning on-campus recruitment events, planning and managing on-campus interview season, actively managing call-back process, working with hiring shareholders and recruiting committee to determine and effectuate summer associate offers, coordinating offer follow-up efforts, communicating with recruits, etc.
Plan and execute, in conjunction with office leadership, New York summer associate program, including summer associate onboarding, working with Professional Development staff to coordinate summer associate training programs, planning program social and educational events, overseeing and monitoring work assignment system, coordinating summer associate evaluation process, and working with firm leadership to identify and implement potential improvements to the program.

Must possess superior judgment and discretion and be able to protect and maintain highly confidential information.
Qualifications & Prior Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree and 6+ years of related recruiting experience, preferably with a large law firm.
Working knowledge of recruiting software and applicant tracking systems, Jobvite expertise strongly preferred.
