Develop, implement and support policies, programs, processes and initiatives to further Holland & Knight LLP's commitment to create and sustain a diverse and inclusive workplace. Develop and implement comprehensive career development programs for associate attorneys. Reports to: Diversity Partner, Professional Growth and Development Partner and Chief Professional Development and Recruiting Officer
Key Responsibilities Include:
Develop and implement programs and activities that enhance the firm's reputation and image as a leader in diversity and inclusion.
Develop and implement programs and activities that enhance the firm's goal of increasing the hiring, development, retention and promotion of diverse attorneys.
Design and implement educational, awareness and training programs to promote a diverse and inclusive workplace.
Work with the Diversity Partner, the Professional Development and Growth Partner, and the Chief Professional Development and Recruiting Officer to ensure that career development programs support the diversity goals of the firm and are responsive to the needs of diverse groups of attorneys.
Design and implement programs and tools to help associates create and manage personal and professional career plans and provide career coaching to associates.
Assist with completion of external surveys requesting firm diversity information.
Provide resources and guidance to firm-wide Diversity Council, firm-wide affinity groups and local office diversity committees.
Establish and maintain relationships with diversity-focused external organizations, including voluntary bar organizations, professional associations and student associations.
Work with others on the professional development team to design, implement, and manage associate relations and retention programs, including the associate mentoring and exit interview programs.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in diversity, inclusion, and career development initiatives at the organizational or firm level.
Legal practice background preferred.
Experience working in a large law firm, including with senior management, preferred.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusion and related workplace issues.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the firm.
Strong interpersonal, consensus-building and teamwork skills; collaborative approach to working with others.
Proficient at multitasking, prioritizing, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrated problem solving, analytical and fact-finding abilities.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential topics with a high degree of professionalism.
JD degree from an accredited law school is required.
