Orrick currently has an exciting opportunity for a Manager of Partner Recruiting. This position can be based in any Orrick office.
The Manager, Partner Recruiting, plays a meaningful role in the lateral partner growth of the firm. You will work with our dynamic Global Head of Partner Recruiting and team to execute on the firm’s global growth strategies, including leading the recruiting initiatives that advance our strategy, while managing search firms, candidates and the recruiting process.
Build, maintain and manage relationships with legal search firms in the full cycle of lateral partner acquisition including reviewing and negotiating fees/service agreements, organizing search firm meetings and engagement of executive recruiters.
Manage the global partner candidate pipeline. Review and evaluate submissions with the Global Head of Partner Recruiting and Business Unit Leaders (“BUL”) or designees.
Communicate professionally using discretion and sensitivity, with candidates, search firms, partners and other team members regarding status of searches/candidates.
Brief partners prior to meetings highlighting candidate value to firm, benefit of Orrick platform to candidate and other meaningful data points that may assist in recruitment efforts.
Collaborate with the Global Head and partner recruiting team to identify the best strategy, next steps and process for candidates globally.
Run integration meetings including, drafting of meeting schedules and coordinating with local global and U.S. office managers, to ensure positive, well executed meetings.
Collect and collate post meeting feedback and required supporting documents.
Shepard the conflicts review process. Work with executive recruiter and/or candidate to ensure receipt of completed Lateral Partner Questionnaires (“LPQ”) and Professional Responsibility Questionnaires (“PRQ”).
Prepare offer letters and packages for Management Committee and Board meetings.
Assist in driving of firm’s diversity recruiting efforts.
Develop collateral material for use in recruiting partners and sharing with referral sources.
Monitor current market trends and suggest new methodologies, programs, and practices that support Orrick hiring objectives and are consistent with firm culture.

Operate the Microsoft Office Suite at an intermediate to advanced level.
Understand and synthesize complex requirements of the professional services environment.

Three to five years of experience recruiting or marketing/business development for professional services organizations. Legal experience a preferred.
B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent experience.
