The role of the Inclusion Manager is to work closely with the Director of Inclusion in the coordination and implementation of the firm’s strategic objectives for the Office of Inclusion. Under the guidance of the Director of Inclusion, the Manager should be able to work independently, in a highly organized manner, and prioritize their workload while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Responsible for the coordination and implementation of tasks and duties related to internal and external diversity and inclusion initiatives for all U.S. offices by performing a broad spectrum of administrative duties that require independent decision making, discretion, and judgment
- Keep Director apprised of current D&I issues and potential problems as they develop; seeks advice and guidance as needed
- Participates in various U.S. Diversity Committee meetings and prepares agenda and summaries for circulation; serves as a member of the Diversity Committee staff and prepares correspondence and reports, working with all firm constituents, including attorneys and departments throughout the Firm
- Responsible for tracking, monitoring and maintaining accurate accounts of all expenses and balances to support the U.S. diversity and inclusion program budget
- Leads preparation of diversity-related statistical information for firm- and region-wide monitoring reports, RFPs, client requests, and other requests, as needed
- Provide initial drafting of diversity-related communications, RFQs, reports and surveys requiring research, analysis and evaluation, and quantitative and qualitative research; ensuring grammatical and stylistic accuracy, conformance with established procedures and factual correctness in all correspondence (e.g., firm diversity profile, internal announcements correspondence letters, etc.) for Director’s review and finalization
- Coordinates with other firm departments and offices on diversity-related initiatives including sponsorships of job fairs, benchmarking assessments, surveys, and competitive and marketplace research on diversity trends
- Attend meetings as requested to provide information and serve as a point of contact/resource on behalf of the Office of Inclusion
- Manages any Business Services staff dedicated to the function and any Business Services staff or others wo perform tasks for the Inclusion function.
- Provide logistical support to the various regional diversity committees (e.g., iPublish invitations, meeting agendas, preparation of handout materials, event follow-up).
- Works with others to coordinate site/catering/audiovisual reservations for internal and external diversity events.
- Serve as liaison with internal and external parties on matters related to the Office of Inclusion (e.g., answer questions concerning departmental activities and transmit instructions and or information to and from diversity members/staff)
- Works closely with the Director of Inclusion in the planning and coordination of on-site workshops, programs and meetings in various U.S. offices, including all logistical components, including but not limited to the marketing and promotion of Department of Inclusion to support offerings such as training's, workshops, and special events.
Core hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., including lunch hour, but demands flexibility for overtime, as needed.
