Location: Boston, MA
Build effective and positive relationships with firm personnel at all levels
Support new hire integration, host orientation programs, and process new hire paperwork
Coordinate administrative communications for arrivals, departures, office transfers and other employee status changes
Coordinate departure process for staff employees, including conducting exit interviews
Support recruiting efforts driven by firmwide attorney and staff recruiting teams, including greeting and hosting candidates as well as periodic participation in staff interview processes
Handle routine employee relations issues
Understand and support implementation of firm policies
Support administration of leaves of absence for associates and staff
Assist with the performance evaluation processes for associates, counsel and staff
Maintain personnel files
Recommend new approaches and procedures to continually improve team efficiency and raise level of service provided to internal clients
Coordinate periodic office visits for benefits related vendors
Provide general support for various human resources initiatives as required
Manage and coordinate entry-level attorney recruiting for New England offices
Liaise with Recruiting Committee, attorneys and career services personnel
Manage and coordinate regional on-campus interviewing and outreach events
Collaborate with Hiring Partner to manage and coordinate on-campus and callback interview process
Prepare recruiting committee meeting agendas and materials
Collaborate with entry-level recruiting committee at status and offer meetings
Manage and coordinate summer associate program for Boston office, including planning, organizing and attending events
Coordinate work assignment distribution and collect feedback on summer associates
Coordinate and participate in mid-summer and final evaluations
Maintain and update recruiting database and respond to candidate correspondence
Other entry-level recruiting team duties as assigned
Bachelor's Degree plus minimum of 3 years of experience in HR, preferably in a law firm or other professional services environment
Minimum of 1 year of experience in legal or campus recruitment for a professional services organization or law firm
Must demonstrate a high level of professionalism and the highest regard for confidentiality
Strong ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines and within budget
Self-starter with ability to remain self-directed and self-motivated with minimal supervision
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills essential
Strong organizational skills with impeccable attention to detail
Prior experience with electronic applicant tracking systems such as LawCruit strongly preferred
Ability to learn quickly and apply training to practical issues
Ability to travel to New England offices on a monthly basis
Flexibility to work extended hours as needed (significant during summer/early fall season)
