JOB SUMMARY: The Communications Coordinator supports the Marketing and Business Development Department by developing and editing content for distribution across the Firm’s social media and other digital platforms, including thought leadership, accolades, and other promotional activity relating to the Firm’s key areas of practice. The role will serve as the liaison across departments to ensure a consistent approach to internal communications. The individual will also serve as the primary editor and content creator for the Firm’s intranet and website and will contribute to the drafting and updating of the Firm’s style guide. The coordinator will regularly interface with attorneys and other staff members on various projects.
Manage and curate content for distribution across the Firm’s social media channels, with the goal of driving employee engagement and raising brand awareness among key constituents through tailored campaigns that align with the Firm’s strategy.
Regularly track social media analytics and use these to develop and drive the Firm's social media strategy, ensuring it align with the Firm's strategy.
Develop a regular analytics report for presentation to team and Firm leadership.
Identify opportunities for creative campaigns across various social platforms, and maintain content calendar of this and other content planned for social media.
Collaborate with internal departments, including Diversity & Inclusion, Professional Development, Recruiting, and Human Capital to develop a strategy and content calendar for internal and external digital communications.
Manage the media center on the Firm’s website, including ensuring consistency of language.
Oversee tracking of media mentions for distribution in weekly press highlights email.
Provide assistance with pulling clip reports and analytics
Provide proofing for Firm’s promotional materials, including ads and other creative projects, as needed
Provide assistance with drafting talking points for firm leadership relating to alumni or other events.
Serve as coordinator and rule enforcer of the Firm’s style guide.
General team assistance, including project overflow.
Education: A 4-Year College degree required, degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or Marketing preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in marketing communications. Experience in professional services preferred but not required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to develop and deliver executive-level content with tight deadlines
Strong written and editing skills
Baseline knowledge of business and legal issues
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
Ability to counsel attorneys and staff on communications issues
Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a variety of people and departments
Technology Skills: Must be highly skilled in MS Suite – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with driving social media efforts and running social media channels required.
