Robins Kaplan LLP, a national litigation law firm, has an exciting opportunity for a sharp individual to lead and oversee all attorney recruiting and professional development efforts for the firm, working closely with firm leadership to determine the strategic direction and objectives of the department. This role can be based in our Boston, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, or New York locations.
In this highly visible role, you will collaborate with firm leadership including the Chief Talent & Diversity Officer, Practice Group Leaders, Office Managing Partners, Directors of Administration, Managing Partner, Hiring Chairs, and other firm leaders. As part of your responsibilities, you will oversee the firm-wide attorney recruiting function including law school and lateral hiring at all levels, orientation and integration, and alumni relations. You will assist in identifying training and development needs of attorneys in all practice groups and offices, and develop and oversee implementation of these programs. Working closely with the Chief Talent & Diversity Officer and Managing Partner, you will also manage the attorney evaluation and advancement process.
Keys to your success include: Bachelor’s degree required. Graduate degree or JD a plus, but not required. Recruiting experience, including partner level hiring, within a professional services organization required. Experience in training or professional development required. Law firm experience preferred.
You will also have: Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, direct and develop a high-functioning team, experience leading strategic growth initiatives, ability to travel as needed, analytical skills, and exceptional communication skills with the ability to establish credibility, build trust and influence, and gain the confidence of firm leadership, lawyers, other professionals and your team.
