The Pittsburgh office seeks a Continuing Legal Education Coordinator to support all aspects of firm-wide CLE administration, including program qualification, accreditation, communications, tracking, reporting, and electronic file maintenance. The position will also provide support for in-house program administration and other special projects as directed by the members of the Learning & Professional Development (L&PD) team.
Primary job responsibilities include:
Drafting communications and responding to inquiries from clients, lawyers, and staff related to the CLE process.
Providing recommendations and support to lawyers about the tools and resources available and coordinating the implementation of live and on demand programming locally.
Maintaining and auditing CLE files and applying for individual program accreditation.
Assisting in the preparation of year-end reports, accredited provider renewal applications and other mandatory CLE reports needed to maintain the firm’s accredited provider status.
Administering in-house and client CLE programs, including entering programs into the firm’s CLE tracking database, creation and distribution of CLE certificates of attendance and communications related to CLE accreditation status.
Assist with the preparation and implementation of the Summer Associate and First Year Associate L&PD programs.
Provide support for other L&PD program initiatives, such as the Leadership College and Global Associate Symposium.
Liaise with lawyers and staff about L&PD-related matters.
Prior law firm experience with understanding of national CLE rules and regulations preferred.
Possess a demonstrated understanding or interest in working in the legal industry and a training environment. Additional requirements include:
Proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel; ability to learn new technology
Strong work ethic and able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Creative, thoughtful and organized self-starter with excellent attention to detail
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills
Customer service orientation, responsive to inquiries and strong independent problem solving skills
