The Attorney Recruiting and Development Senior Coordinator will receive a generous total compensation package. Bonuses are awarded in recognition of individual and firm performance. As an Attorney Recruiting and Development Senior Coordinator at Latham, you will contribute your expertise to strategize and coordinate all activities and processes involved in attorney recruiting throughout each recruiting season, as well as supporting attorneys from their initial integration at the firm to development at every stage of their careers. The Senior Coordinator will have a strong focus on coaching and counseling the attorneys to achieve ongoing successes at the firm, while accomplishing these and other critical functions:
Works with the Manager of Attorney Recruitment and Development with the coordination and execution of all phases of recruiting and development efforts for summer associates and attorneys.
Plans and orchestrates the Summer Associate program and social activities.
Supervises the Recruiting Assistant and Lateral Associate Hiring Coordinator.
Assists with the management of work projects for summer associates.
Develops and maintains relationships with Office Managing Partners, Local Department Chairs, Local and Global Recruiting Managers and other local Recruiting Committee members regarding the ongoing hiring needs of practice offices. Develops and maintains relationships with all levels of Latham attorneys and provides them with the appropriate background information to make outreach calls to potential candidates and judicial clerks.
Serves as Firm liaison to law school placement directors and other recruitment professionals.
Coordinates with members of Formal Mentoring Committee to develop and implement the key elements of associate mentoring programs.
Coordinates profiles and status of all recruitment activity in LawCruit. Ensure that physical files are opened and applicants are entered into the LawCruit system.
Corresponds with incoming applicants to schedule interview dates and times and coordinate information for applicant and interviewer.
Coordinates and track follow-up with candidates.
Develops recruiting materials, brochures, and communication information for the Recruiting Committee.
Liaises with attorneys, management, and administrative staff as contributing member of the greater team to expand, enrich and maintain office trainings and practice resources.
Maintains and keep abreast of the office calendar to ensure any training or scheduling conflicts are resolved.
Works with others in the Global Recruiting Department and Attorney Development Department, as needed, toward common goals.
Develops content for the Office Bulletin.
Assists with special projects on various issues as needed.
Promotes effective work practices, works as a team member, and shows respect for co-workers.
A Bachelor's degree is required, JD preferred. Two (2) years of relevant experience at a professional services organization desired.
