The Recruiting & Development Assistant supports the long-term goals and day-to-day functions of the Attorney Recruiting and Development team at Littler's Global Service Center in Kansas City, Missouri. The team is responsible for managing the recruitment process for summer associates, entry-level associates, and lateral associates, and the assistant regularly communicates with candidates, recruiters, law school personnel, and hiring attorneys. The Assistant supports planning of training and diversity events and meetings including tracking attendance, following up with vendors, and preparing materials. Maintains confidential, detailed information in spreadsheets and viDesktop database modules in support of attorney performance management process. General administrative tasks such as processing invoices and maintaining the department's internal web page also are included.
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with candidates, recruitment agencies, staff, managers and attorneys.
Demonstrate strong attention to detail in written communication and maintenance of data in confidential spreadsheets and candidate tracking and performance management systems.
Previous law firm or other professional services firm experience preferred; 2 years' related experience a plus. Strong skills in MS Word and PowerPoint. Demonstrated proficiency in Excel.
