Armstrong Teasdale is currently looking to hire a Recruiting, Professional Development and Inclusion Manager. This role is responsible for coordinating a full range of recruiting, professional development and inclusion initiatives for the firm’s offices in St. Louis, Kansas City, New York, Philadelphia, Denver, Las Vegas and Jefferson City.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Oversee the lateral associate interview process with respect to candidate communication and experience; coordinate the interview logistics; conduct interviews, and provide and collect feedback.
Offer strategies and programs to build pipeline.
Assist in the implementation of professional development programs, including the management of the New Associates Program, an entry-level leadership program; implementation of individual professional development plans; manage the mentoring program and implement management training initiative. Coordinate learning plans for each practice group and work with learning leaders in each practice group to revise, update and maintain substantive legal learning.
Ensure recruiting and professional development initiatives are aligned with commitment to values of inclusion.
Provide strategic advice regarding the involvement and sponsorship of diversity-related events and organizations. Facilitate the delivery of firm-wide programming around inclusion initiatives. Grow relationships with internal and external community partners to facilitate and develop partnerships that support firm’s efforts.
Support CLE programming and support the logistics, application and coordination of CLE activities.
Support the delivery of orientation programming for new hires.
Manage and or support other responsibilities, as needed.
Some travel required.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience managing or participating in diversity and inclusion programs.
Experience working in the legal or professional services industry preferred.
Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities.
