Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, an international law firm, is actively recruiting a Lawyer Recruiting and Development Administrator in our Dallas office. The Lawyer Recruiting and Development Administrator works in conjunction with other members of the Office of Lawyer Recruiting and Development to oversee lawyer recruitment, lawyer resources, diversity-related initiatives and professional development for the Dallas, California and Charlotte offices. This position manages and provides an array of complex and confidential functions with a high degree of proficiency on behalf of the firm’s management and strategic plan implementation.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Coordinates hiring approval process and tracks status of openings. Follows all firm policies and best practices for approvals, recruiting, use of search firms, interviewing, selection, and approval of hiring terms and offer letters. Keeps statistics and records regarding office lateral hiring and maintains all information in the firm’s candidate tracking system. Develops proactive recruiting strategies to fill needs. 2. Administers lateral associate recruiting efforts for the Dallas, California and Charlotte offices, including requisition requests and new hire forms, job and web postings, applicant review and scheduling, processing of online applicants in the ATS and preparation of offer letters. Ensure appropriate candidate and search firm communications and response times are met, and determines eligibility of applicants and appropriate responses. Ensures completion of required paperwork throughout recruiting process, in keeping with best practices. 3. Oversees, schedules and implements local/regional office orientation and onboarding for all hires and prepares all relevant materials. Ensures transmittal of payroll information and file maintenance. 4. Manages all aspects of the summer associate program in accordance with firm-wide policies and practices. Oversees the research and coordination of Summer Associate and new associate housing options. Prepares Summer Associate orientation and onboarding materials and other information pertinent to the Summer Associates’ employment. Coordinates the assignment of Summer Associate offices and support. Together with the Hiring Partner and Recruiting Committee determines the schedule of summer events. Reviews and manages summer events, budgeting, lawyer participation, summer associate assignments, evaluations and exit interviews, and all related policies,. Coordinates all summer events, including scheduling, reservations, transportation, and attorney participation including providing assistance with firm-wide summer events when necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred. 2. Experience: Minimum of five years administrative work experience in a law firm preferred. At least three years recruiting experience preferred. Experience and proficiency with MS Word and Excel required and other MS Office Suite applications and LawCruit is a plus. 3. Other Qualifications: Ability to pay strict attention to detail and produce high quality work with good accuracy. To be successful, the incumbent must possess the abilities or aptitudes to proficiently perform each of the responsibilities described above, with or without accommodation.
