The Legal Recruiting Coordinator will work under the supervision of the Legal Recruiting Manager to support firm-wide lateral associate, entry-level and non-attorney technical recruiting. The position is part of the firm’s Legal Recruiting Department and therefore also will be involved in firm-wide legal recruiting activities and initiatives to support attorneys throughout the firm.
Source candidates for open positions through a variety of methods, including search firms, internal referrals and leads, on-line research of targets and prospects.
Screen resumes and introductory materials. Obtain additional information, as needed and present candidate introductions to involved partners and sections.
Communicate with search firms to advance consideration of active candidates in the pipeline.
Schedule interviews, coordinate candidate travel, prepare interviewer and interviewee information packages, collect post-interview feedback.
Coordinate law student recruiting through on-campus interview programs, job fairs, and student outreach events.
Implement summer associate program: plan orientation and training sessions, oversee work assignment process, plan and attend social events, act as liaison to students.
Maintain candidate files and track status using appropriate recruiting databases and reports.
Draft candidate correspondence, response letters, engagement letters, welcome notices, firm announcements, fee agreements, and other communications.
Assist in the onboarding and integration of new associates.
Provide regular updates and information to Legal Recruiting Manager, Director of Legal Recruiting, and members involved in the recruiting process.
Serve as “face of the firm” in representing it through consistently positive, professional interactions with both internal and external clients including staff, attorneys of the firm, firm leadership, candidates, search firms, law schools, diversity and other professional organizations and other entities.
Work collaboratively with Legal Recruiting Department staff to support other functional areas (e.g., lateral member recruiting), special projects and general department administration.
Engage in local and national legal recruiting organizations to support the enhancement of our profession and to represent Mintz positively in the legal community.
Bachelor's degree required.
1-3 years' of recruiting experience in a law firm is strongly desired.
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and administrative skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to execute through to completion.
Creative problem solving skills, reasoning ability and logical thought process.
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize competing demands and meet various deadlines.
