Essential Job Functions
As a member of the Legal Recruiting and Development Department, the Attorney Engagement Coordinator will provide general administrative support for our Attorney Engagement team.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, event support, budget, attorney integration initiatives, attorney utilization support and general administrative duties.
Provide administrative support for events and development programs (which may require lunch hour and evening overtime)
Provide support with lateral attorney integration, including event assistance, coordination of integration efforts
Coordinate attorney office transfers to Chicago, including welcome announcements, office tours, and integration
Assist with attorney utilization reports
Track attorney mentoring program updates and assist with mentor assignment process
Assist with coordination of Litigation and Corporate department Open Forums
Assist with coordination of Associates’ Committee meetings and related projects and initiatives
Support all Chicago affinity group events
Support the Women’s Leadership Initiative
Support the Attorney Recruiting Team during the summer program and fall recruiting
Update department documents on a quarterly basis
Process expenses reports and check requests
Miscellaneous administrative duties such as filing, creating labels, nametags, scanning and copying
Managing calendars for Attorney Engagement
Maintain attorney engagement-related initiatives on internal website
Support firm wide diversity events as needed
Education, Work Experience, Skills
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience in similar setting, law firm or professional services strongly preferred
High level of collaboration and the ability to work independently
Strong organizational skills including excellent proofing and communication (oral and written) abilities
The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a very strong attention to detail and a professional demeanor.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across departments and offices to achieve results.
Ability to work overtime, and evening/weekend hours in order to meet deadlines
Technical experience should include the Microsoft Office Suite; Proficiency in Excel required.
