As a member of the Talent Management Department, the CLE/Training Manager is responsible for the design and implementation of all Firm-wide training programs. This position is also responsible for overseeing attorney CLE compliance, annual license renewals, and maintaining the Firm status as an accredited provider of CLE in various jurisdictions. This position manages a team and reports directly to the Director of Professional Development.
Work with Department Chairs to design and implement practice specific training programs.
Manage the Firm’s skills development program.
Manage the Firm’s monthly Lunch & Learn programs.
Manage programs with external vendors.
Review all course materials for CLE compliance and assist in preparation and distribution.
Work with Marketing Department and attorneys on accrediting client programs in jurisdictions requiring MCLE.
Assume leadership role on large projects such as Partner Retreat, Associate Retreat, First Year Associate Orientation, and Mock Trial program.
Create and oversee budget for training programs.
Assure attorney CLE Compliance.
Oversee process for monitoring CLE compliance in relevant jurisdictions.
Maintain expertise in CLE accreditation requirements and ensure that programs comply with CLE regulations.
Liaise with state CLE Boards and oversee annual renewal applications.
Monitor CLE sites for rule changes.
Work with Firm General Counsel to ensure all attorneys remain compliant.
Maintain the Firm’s internal CLE webpage.
Other related duties and projects, as assigned.
Qualifications (Experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
Familiarity with law firm administration preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Knowledge of CLE regulations and procedures.
Ability to work with detailed information accurately and efficiently.
Must be a highly motivated, personable self-starter who is able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and successfully, many with tight deadlines. Ability to assess, adapt and reprioritize projects quickly when situations change.
Must have good presentation, writing, and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to be proactive in tailoring communications effectively for different groups and stakeholders. Excellent grammar, vocabulary, and reading comprehension.
Ability to receive and convey detailed information through oral communication.
Must conduct professionally in appearance and actions; must set a positive example for all personnel and support a collegial and collaborative work environment.
Ability to coordinate the activities or tasks of people, groups and organizations.
Ability to undertake and manage large projects and effective use of firm resources.
Demonstrated leadership skills (i.e., planning, problem-solving and decision-making) necessary for effectively manage a team.
Must be able to think strategically, analytically and creatively.
Highly proficient with MS Word, Excel, and database management systems.
Knowledge of Micron CE manager and ViDesktop a plus.
Occasional travel required.

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
