Greenberg Traurig seeks a highly motivated individual with excellent attention to detail to coordinate and implement attorney professional development programs and initiatives. The Professional Development Coordinator is a member of the Professional Development team and reports to the Professional Development Manager. This position is a firmwide role with a focus on GT offices in Florida and will be based in our Miami office.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The coordinator’s duties include but are not limited to:
Support the Professional Development Manager in delivering global practice specific training as well as local training programs and workshops. This includes the following:
Managing program logistics including scheduling, registration, materials, and logistics including conference room facilities, catering and technology.
Serving as a point of contact for internal presenters and outside consultants and vendors.
Providing support for training programs in the Miami office.
Drafting and distributing program invitations, communications and materials.
Pulling attendance reports and recording attendance.
Sending course evaluations.
Support training and development initiatives firmwide as well as in the Florida offices.
Assist with the administration of the associate mentor program in the Florida offices.
Participate in the onboarding and integration of associates in the Florida offices.
Work collaboratively with the PD Manager to coordinate and implement large-scale PD Programs and skills-based workshops. Support additional initiatives and programs that promote attorney development.
Assist with procedures for CLE-eligible programs including gaining a working understanding of FL CLE rules. Assist with attorney compliance and data entry for the Florida offices.
Build rapport with associates in the Florida offices and serve as a professional development resource.
Evaluate and recommend process improvements to ensure controls and department efficiency
Provide general back-up support to the PD team (chief, director, managers and coordinators)
Assist with special projects and collaborate with other firm departments as needed.
Assume other responsibilities as needed to support the Professional Development team.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet deadlines.
Must be a creative and thoughtful self-starter with excellent attention to detail, the ability to carry tasks through to completion without prompting, and flexibility to handle evolving responsibilities.
Strong work ethic.
Ability to learn new technology quickly.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing, with lawyers, managers and staff.
Customer service experience with a strong client service orientation and ability to work with well with internal and external clients.
Qualifications & Prior Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, psychology and/or communications preferred as well as 1-2 years of experience in a professional environment, or comparable experience, preferably in a law firm or other professional services firm; Professional Development experience preferred.
Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; proficiency in talent management software a plus.
Background with viDesktop, Micron CE Manager, and BlueJeans (or other similar tools) is preferred.
Flexibility for overtime when necessary
Ability to retrieve and distribute materials weighing up to 10 pounds.
Must be able to work at a computer and telephone for extended lengths of time.
