Job Description: The Legal Personnel Assistant will work with the Legal Personnel Director on various legal personnel projects in the firm as well as provide administrative support. Responsibilities: • Manage various morale programs • Manage tracking bar admissions for first years and lateral associates • Assist with answering questions on departmental policies and procedures • Assist with the attorney evaluation process • Assist with the attorney upward review process • Prepare and send employment verification letters • Assist with special events as required • Generate and distribute reports • Schedule and prepare materials for meetings, as well as maintain calendars for meetings • Submit invoices for payment to vendors and process reimbursements for bar and relocation expenses • Review and approve attorney expenses in invoice system for gym memberships • Answer phones and process correspondence
Required Skills: • Bachelor’s degree • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an administrative assistant in a legal or corporate environment; • Proficient in Word and Excel. Lotus Notes and viEval a plus; • Proactive, energetic, hardworking team player; • Ability to collaborate with various departments throughout the firm; • Excellent communication skills both oral and written; • Must have highly developed organizational abilities, with meticulous attention to detail; • Ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects, and to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment; and • Must possess a high degree of integrity and sense of confidentiality.
