We are seeking a Legal Curriculum Manager, Corporate and Technology Transactions to join our Professional Development team, to be based ideally in our Palo Alto office, though any of our US offices will be considered (Austin; Boston; Los Angeles; New York; San Diego; San Francisco; Seattle; Washington, DC; Wilmington, DE). As with the rest of the firm, the role will be based remotely until February, at the earliest.
The Legal Curriculum Manager will work closely with the Senior Manager, Professional Development (PD); Director, PD, Diversity and Inclusion; firm management; department and practice group leadership; and the broader PD team to implement relevant, effective, and dynamic legal training programs for our corporate and technology transactions departments firm-wide.
Oversee, assess and update the corporate training program for attorneys at all levels, including incoming associates, experienced attorneys, summer associates, and professional staff in the corporate department
Oversee, assess and update the technology transactions training program, including annual classes for incoming new associates and experienced attorneys, the annual group off-site and ad hoc classes
Collaborate with the corporate department on various professional development initiatives, including our lateral integration and career development programs
Other professional development initiatives, including developing e-learning and other innovative training methods, developing effective professional development guides, event planning, etc.
A J.D. degree is preferred, though candidates with an equivalent combination of education, training, and other relevant experience will be considered
Experience practicing as an attorney is preferred, preferably in a large firm environment
Experience in corporate/securities or IP-driven commercial transactions is preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Demonstrated ability to confidently work with people at all levels of seniority and make well-considered proposals
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
Demonstrated ability to project manage, meeting deadlines and providing high-quality deliverables for multiple, simultaneous projects
Experience in the design and execution of adult education is preferred
Experience with technology-based training is also preferred
Advanced knowledge of MS Suite, including PowerPoint
