Best Best & Krieger has an immediate need for a Recruiting & Professional Development Coordinator based in any of our So. Cal offices.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

1. Under the direction of the Sr. Manager, administer the processes for On Campus Interviews (OCI), Resume Collections and Job Postings, including but not limited to: registering with schools for on campus interviews, resume collections or job postings; corresponding with law school career services personnel to confirm interviews; providing interviewers with the student applications and information for reviewing and interviewing; confirming and scheduling all interviews for callback invitations; coordinating with the Sr. Manager on Summer Associate Callback Interview Weekend; soliciting and collecting feedback from all interviewers; preparing for Recruiting Committee meetings working closely with the Sr. Manager; maintaining historical and tracking data and updating corresponding documents.

2. Coordinate with the Sr. Manager with respect to all aspects of the Summer Associate Program, including but not limited to: obtaining necessary documents conflicts check processing; preparing orientation manuals; setting up Summer Associate Module and Portals to track assignments and evaluations; assisting with summer associate on-boarding and setting up training programs; reviewing, approving and tracking expenses and managing budget for BBK Summer Associate Program; acting as a Work Assignment Coordinator monitoring work assignments and work allocation for Summer Associates; organizing and attending social events; preparing various Summer Program reports; setting up and monitoring end of summer evaluation process, and providing results to Sr. Manager.

3.      Work with Hiring Partner, Chief Talent Officer to set up the annual 1L Diversity Scholarship/Fellowship process. Post at schools and on firm website. Provide PDFs of applications to Chief Talent Officer and Senior Manager of Attorney Development & Recruiting for review. Schedule interviews of selected candidates and prepare offer letters.

4. Set up and oversee attorney evaluation processes maintaining strict confidentiality with all documents and acting with utmost discretion.

5. Work closely with the Sr. Manager on the annual associate review process including, but not limited to scheduling meetings; preparing agendas; gathering, assembling, compiling and creating spreadsheets and various documents related to the associate year end data; setting up and monitoring the associate review processes and providing the evaluations and information to the Committee for their review; attending the Committee meetings.

6. Assist with mentoring assignments. Provide guidance to Mentors on respective roles and responsibilities.

7. Assist the Chief Talent Officer, the Director of Attorney Development & Recruiting and the Senior Manager of Attorney Development & Recruiting with 1) the attorney hiring process, including but not limited to preparing search firm agreements, screening applicant resumes; scheduling interviews for candidates; drafting offer agreements and tracking their returns and responses; coordinating the processing of conflicts and background checks; maintaining recruiting hiring database, reports and spreadsheets; 2) drafting employment agreements for current attorneys; and 3) various HR and recruiting projects as requested.

8. Assist the Chief Operating Officer with various HR recruiting projects as requested.

9. Assist the Director of Human Resources with HR projects when needed.

10. Under supervision of the Sr. Manager, collect data and reporting information to respond to various NALP surveys, Vault Diversity surveys, marketing surveys and other national and local surveys. Create and/or update spreadsheets to use for these surveys.

11. Work within deadlines and effectively handle stress.

12. Establish effective working relationships and appropriately interact with others.

13.       Other responsibilities as assigned.
