Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg LLP is a Chicago Loop law firm seeking a Legal Recruiting Coordinator. This individual will support the Professional Recruitment and Development Department and will report to the Director of Talent & Diversity. This individual will also be responsible for coordinating all aspects of law student and lateral recruitment and will help support the firm’s diversity initiatives. This position requires a high level of collaboration with attorneys and staff, and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail orientated, and have strong communication skills. Responsibilities: - Serve as an ambassador of the firm with candidates, summer associates, law school administration, law student organizations, vendors and diversity organizations
- Coordinate all aspects of law school recruiting and the summer program, as well as support the lateral recruitment process
- Plan receptions, law school events related to fall recruiting, summer events, and practice group lunches
- Participate in relevant professional associations for law firm recruitment (CALPA and NALP)
- Assist leadership with the lateral recruitment process, including processing and tracking applications, scheduling interviews, preparing correspondence, preparing interview schedules and packets
- Maintain and update print/online attorney recruitment material, the intranet page, as well as, the “Careers” section of firm website
- Maintain records for employment activity tracking
- Log and respond to lateral, headhunter, and law student inquiries
- Prepare law school recruiting statistics
- Assist in the preparation of annual budget for recruitment and diversity activities and coordinating law school sponsorships and events
- Coordinate bar exam expenses/reimbursements, bar exam care packages, post-bar celebrations, bar admission gifts and in-house receptions
- Process relocation expenses
- Support the Diversity Committee and assist with developing and implementing diversity initiatives for the firm
- Coordinate diversity sponsorships and attorney attendance at sponsored diversity events, including in-house receptions and firm visits
- Assist with planning and executing firm initiatives and events
- Prepare communications related to offers, and related correspondence and follow-up
- Assist with orientation for, and integration of, new hires and summer associates
- Coordinate firm’s relationships with local hotels and order firm gifts and giveaways, and monitor inventory
- Complete general administrative tasks of the Professional Recruitment and Development Department
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 2 years related experience in law firm or professional services firm
- Familiarity with viDesktop a strong plus
- Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment
- Ability to work well in a team environment and build consensus with colleagues
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Attention to detail is critical
- Results oriented; strong work ethic
