Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP has an opening for an Associate Engagement Coordinator/Specialist – a newly created position within our Legal Personnel and Professional Development team. Working closely with the Firm’s Director of Professional Development, the successful candidate will support the Firm’s goals for engaging our U.S. associates across all departments and offices. The Associate Engagement Coordinator/Specialist will be responsible for the functions listed below, as well as additional projects upon request.
Outreach and Engagement
Create, develop and deliver activities, programs and events to facilitate interaction among the attorneys, across offices and within departments.
Create integration and engagement programs for newly hired associates.
Foster opportunities to maintain and promote the Willkie culture even when working remotely.
Communication and Connectivity
Develop relationships with key stakeholders, including department heads, client-specific work teams, and individual associates.
Compile, draft and produce content for Willkie360 and other outlets to promote programming and individual associate accomplishments.
Coordinate with marketing and Assigning Partners on associate bios.
Budget and Data Analytics
Working closely with the Assigning Partners, compile data and analytics on associates’ work assignments.
Provide support and guidance to the Assigning Partners and Director of Professional Development.
Monitor and track the PD budget.
As the firm continues to grow, provide support for new projects and assignments.
The successful candidate must be a creative problem solver, team-oriented, self-motivated and have the ability to work independently, as well as possess the following characteristics:

Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with a service-oriented attitude.
Ability to effectively communicate in a courteous and professional manner.
Ability to juggle multiple assignments and adapt to changing priorities.
Ability to exercise discretion, good judgment, flexibility and maintain confidential information at all times.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Telecommuting is allowed.
