The Professional Development Manager is involved in all facets of attorney PD, including career development, training, mentoring, evaluations and feedback to support the professional development and career success of Bracewell attorneys at all levels.
Collaborate with Director of Professional Development to assess needs, create programs, and implement attorney training; define metrics and evaluate training; communicate program plans, goals, and outcomes; manage external training vendors and content.
Manage designated mentoring programs and budgets; facilitate mentor-mentee pairings; recommend and implement new mentoring groups, program enhancements, discussion topics, and training.
Collaborate with Business Development on BD training; with Recruiting on new and summer associate training and lateral integration; and with Diversity and Inclusion on initiatives for attorney development.
Together with members of the HR team, manage the Annual Evaluation and Feedback processes, including annual performance reviews for counsel and associates.
Recommend and implement training programs and coaching for lawyers based on needs surfaced in connection with the performance reviews and career development discussions.
Plan and execute CLE programs and various other core skills and substantive training programs for the firm.
Assist the Professional Development team with additional projects, including orientation and onboarding, eLearning, wellbeing initiatives and training academies.

3+ years of professional development or similar experience in a law firm or other professional services organization
2+ years of experience managing others
Advanced knowledge of Windows-based systems
Familiarity with viDesktop preferred
