As a member of Talent Management, the Director of Diversity and Inclusion works closely with the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer and the Chief Talent Officer in the development, implementation and administration of programs and policies that support the Firm’s goals of increasing and promoting diverse workforce and inclusive environment at all levels throughout the Firm.
Work closely with Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer to develop a strategic diversity and inclusion plan with key initiatives and goals across the firm.
Responsible for the implementation of firm-wide diversity and inclusion programs and key initiatives.
Engage with office and department leadership to support diversity and inclusion efforts that align with the Firm’s overall goals for development and retention.
Review current practice and policies, assess and analyze the extent to which they support or hinder the Firm’s diversity goal.
Participate in the Diversity Committee efforts to effectively recruit, retain and support the development of a diverse professional staff.
Collaborate with human resources, recruiting, and professional development to integrate and align with the Firm’s diversity and inclusion initiatives. Facilitate the implementation of internal policies and practices to support the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion goals, including talent acquisition, employee engagement and inclusion.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Firm’s Diversity and Inclusion programs and activities, prioritizing action items and initiatives.
Collaborate with human resources to develop, maintain and monitor diversity metrics, develop analysis, and preparation of diversity-related metrics and statistical information for reports.
Monitor, review and analyze internal and external diversity data.
Provide data analysis to Diversity & Inclusion Committee, Department Leaders and the Executive Committee.
Collaborate with Professional Development to provide education and learning programs.
Plan and coordinate diversity and inclusion events with Business Development & Marketing Department.
Forecast budget requirements for assigned projects and initiatives, prepare related reports, and monitor the budget.
Stay abreast on the current industry trends and best practices.

Bachelor’s degree required, and Juris Doctor or Master’s Degree in business administration, preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of diversity and inclusion work preferred. Experience working in a large law firm or professional services organization, preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.
Worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
