Orrick has an exciting opportunity for a temporary Lateral Partner Recruiting Assistant. This position will be located in any of our West Coast offices.
As a temporary Lateral Partner Recruiting Assistant, you will play an integral role in the firm’s lateral partner recruiting process. You will seamlessly organize meetings for partner candidates and closely monitor meetings as they are taking place, ensuring everything runs smoothly, attendees are reminded of meeting times and any updates and changes are communicated. You will also gather and assemble related materials and provide calendar management and administrative support to the Chief Growth and Integration Officer.
Coordinate interviews for extremely heavy volume of partner candidates
Frequent communication with senior partners and executive recruiters
Manage interview schedules for partner candidates including frequent changes to schedules as interviewers drop out or move time slots.
Prepare partner candidate packages that include agendas and bios of Orrick participants
Update the schedules throughout the day as Orrick partners drop out or move time slots
Alert folks if one or the other side of the meeting is going to be late
Send reminder emails
Collect feedback after interviews
Manage very hectic calendar of Chief Growth and Integration Officer
Act as tech guru for Partner Recruiting department
Word processing, generate slides or decks
Work with LawCruit (Applicant Tracking System)
BA/BS or equivalent work experience is required
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Creative, energetic and enthusiastic
Strong interpersonal skills
Detail oriented with strong technical (MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to become skilled in using systems including Lawcruit
Ability to juggle competing urgent priorities
Ability to exercise sound judgment
Ability to use discretion while working with confidential information
Commitment to collaboration; comfortable taking initiative
