Brooklyn Law School seeks an Employer Relations Coordinator to join its dynamic Career Development team. Under the supervision of the Dean of Career and Professional Development, the Employer Relations Coordinator will work with the Manager of Employer Relations to research, identify and connect with potential employers of law school students and recent graduates in the legal community and related businesses and industries, to generate employment opportunities for our students and alumni.
The Employer Relations Coordinator will make an impact in many areas, with responsibilities and duties including, but not limited to:
Employer Relations Development and Marketing Activities
Research existing and prospective employers, peer schools’ hiring activity and market trends and opportunities.
Support the preparation for and execution of employer events, as well as hiring programs, including program logistics, and coordinating with the employers.
Administer the Career Development Center’s major recruitment initiatives including the fall and spring recruitment programs, employer showcases, job fair participation and mock interview and alumni programs.
Assist with activities related to employer relations or law school promotion.
Help draft and produce candidate resume books.
Help draft presentation materials.
Work with Manager of Employer Relations to pull and analyze research on current and prospective employers. Conduct additional research through database searches.
Analyze graduate hiring trends from peer and regional law schools.
Analyze practice descriptions and hiring trends in the marketplace.
Prepare drafts of pitches, including summaries detailing our student population’s capabilities.
Coordinate logistics associated with pitch production and delivery.
Actively participate in ongoing matter maintenance of the CDC’s internal databases. Maintain employer lists.
Maintain databases and record updates for employer development. Prepare prospect lists for small and medium sized firms, specific practice areas, geographic locations and positions for which bar admission is not required but for which a JD is preferred.
Update practice descriptions and maintain firm lists.
Create and maintain entries in our employer activity tracking system. Assemble and send out scheduled updates, including monthly reports of employment statistics.
Assist with data collection for reporting purposes.

Experience working with databases; demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to understand and speak compellingly about Brooklyn law School.

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree required.
0-2 years’ experience in a career services or marketing environment
