First Assistant City Solicitor
Working under the supervision and direction of the City Solicitor and the Deputy City Solicitor, assists the City Solicitor in all duties set forth in the Cambridge Municipal Code, Chapter 2.26, §§2.26.020 through 2.26.040.  Performs a variety of complex, high level administrative, technical, and professional municipal legal work. Along with the City Solicitor and Deputy City Solicitor supervises the Department’s Assistant City Solicitors engaged in active litigation and time-sensitive non-litigation work, such as legal research and drafting contracts, ordinances, memoranda of agreement and other complex documents.  Prosecutes and defends civil litigation in state and federal court proceedings and administrative proceedings to which the City is a party. Provides legal advice to the City
