Skadden is seeking a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Project Analyst to join our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team in the Washington, D.C. Office. As a member of Skadden's professional staff, the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Project Analyst will play an integral role in helping the firm provide high-quality service to clients.

The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Project Analyst implements firm priorities to attract, develop, engage, retain and advance a diverse workforce. Works with various professional staff departments, including HRIS, and other business services departments (e.g., Client Accounting, Marketing & Communications, Business Services & Information) as well as practice management and firm committees on projects such as responding to requests for proposals (RFPs), pitches, and industry services, addressing billing systems requirements, and logistics for supporting events. Applies quantitative analysis to help the firm understand, monitor and communicate progress and opportunities across all areas of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) strategic plan.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Coordinates the collection and review of various types of data while following relevant protocols, policies and guidance.
• Generates, analyzes and presents quantitative data to help DEI and talent development leadership evaluate the status of projects and priorities.
• Prepares and presents data on the composition of work project teams, including by liaising with the Client Accounting Department to address client e-billing systems requirements.
• Liaises with the Global Marketing & Communications Department to respond to the DEI sections of requests for proposals by clients.
• Collects and analyzes relevant data for marketing materials, client pitch presentations and other special projects (including, but not limited to, Mansfield Rule data tracking).
• Responds to industry survey requests.
• Tracks industry benchmarks and researches industry best practices to support the development of processes and tracking of DEI metrics and to assist in the assessment of the firm's progress on DEI.
• Tracks external DEI trends and best practices, particularly with respect to approaches to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
• Works closely with the Global Manager of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and the DC Office Affinity Networks to develop and coordinate in-person and virtual programs and events.
• Collaborates with Attorney Development & Recruiting Coordinators and Assistants to provide logistical support for DEI events for law students, summer associates and other programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Strong quantitative data analysis and visualization skills.
• Familiarity with Workday and HRIS protocols or ability to learn HRIS systems.
• Thorough working knowledge of Excel along with knowledge of other relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems.
• Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality.

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of four years of related data analytics experience in a professional services firm or an environment that uses data driven processes
