As the Practice Development Sr. Coordinator - Diversity you will have the exciting opportunity to utilize marketing and business development expertise and practice management skills in a highly visible role. As the Sr. Coordinator you will lead and coordinate all client and industry diversity-related survey replies. You will support the firm’s affinity groups and diversity action teams, and take ownership of internal diversity related events and develop them from conception through execution.
On any given day, you will be working with firm leadership, partners, and business colleagues on a variety of requests and projects. You will:
Lead the response to all client and industry diversity-related surveys from start to finish. Duties include direct communication with partners and/or outside associations, tracking and preparing responses by coordinating with inclusion & diversity, human resources, talent development, and finance, as necessary.
Own and execute the planning and execution of all internal events for the firm’s affinity groups and diversity action teams, including working with affinity group and diversity action team leads. Duties include understanding goals of events, invitations, ads, swag, tracking registrants, coordination with speakers, and all other logistics.
Liaise with the regional marketing team on all external events for the firm’s affinity groups and diversity action teams.
Liaise with firm’s CLE coordinator to ensure appropriate credit is available for events.
Assist the firm’s affinity groups and diversity action teams with internal communication and meeting support as needed.
Undergraduate degree in business or related field or comparable job experience.
2-5 years’ experience in legal or other professional services field a plus.
Advanced knowledge of Excel, including functions, v-lookup, pivot tables, data validation, data filters and sorting.
Excellent written and verbal skills and a demonstrated ability to lead a team of attorneys, colleagues and other stakeholders at all levels.
Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
A reputation for partnering with internal clients and a demonstrated open, collaborative style.
Exhibit high degree of business and data analysis with the ability to discuss, brainstorm and recommend actions to utilize it creatively.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and virtual meeting platforms.
Exhibit high degree of initiative and independent judgment with excellent troubleshooting and follow-through skills in order to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, detail-oriented work environment.
Exceptional interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate, follow written and/or oral instructions, provide information, and maintain effective relationships with firm management, a diverse group of attorneys, clients and staff in person, by email and telephone with professionalism, courtesy and diplomacy.
