Hogan Lovells US LLP seeks an innovative and detail-oriented Associate Recruitment Manager. The Associate Recruitment Manager is responsible for recruitment operations with respect to applicant tracking and onboarding systems, recruitment procedures, budget, and surveys. The Associate Recruitment Manager reports to the Director of Associate Recruitment and works closely with the Director and other managers to help set recruiting strategy and develop and deploy initiatives in the region and across the U.S. This position can be located in any of our U.S. office locations.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Recruitment Operations
Oversee the processing of summer associate, associate, and legal professional arrival and intake information across U.S. offices.
Communicate with firm administrators to manage orientation for summer and incoming associates.
Manage background check process; review and ensure invoices are processed timely.
Manage process for submission and payment of bar study stipends, signing, referral and judicial clerk bonuses.
Communicate with other Hogan Lovells departments (HR, Payroll, Technology, Conflicts, etc.) to develop and manage processes for onboarding; transition stipends; signing, referral and judicial clerk bonuses; and Careers website/recruitment technology.
Set up summer associate project, mid-summer and exit evaluation process, prepare and update guides, and communicate to department.
Develop, update, and maintain applicant tracking database, including periodic reports, correspondence, job postings, and others as necessary.
Conduct competitor and market research.
Manage relationships with external vendors, including ScreenThem, Forage, Thine, Remo, Survey Monkey, Barbri, Themis, etc.
Surveys & Reports
Manage the creation and distribution of periodic associate and legal professional status reports to firm administrators and attorneys.
Supervise the development, analysis and dissemination of associate recruitment metrics including the creation of presentations, communications, day-to-day reports, internal and external surveys, and a departmental annual report.
Manage responses to external surveys, including NALP, Chambers, AmLaw, NLJ, and data requests from other administrative departments, committees, or practices, with respect to recruiting activity.
Internal Operations
Serve as technology team liaison for applicant tracking and onboarding systems.
Develop processes, guides, and resources for training US team members on systems.
Monitor systems for updates and new features and share with department as appropriate.
Work with Director of Associate Recruitment to create department budget.
Develop budget tracking tools for department use.
Communicate with Finance Department regarding hiring forecasts and other financial data.
Set up new ARD team members in applicant tracking, onboarding, and other recruitment systems, including Flo Recruit, ViRecruit, Workday, and others as necessary.
Other Responsibilities
Assist offices with lateral and law student recruiting, outreach and summer programs as needed.
Administer and maintain Hogan Lovells US LLP associate recruiting policies, operational procedures and practices consistent with the firm goals and objectives.
Supervise, manage and mentor recruiting staff, including training, coaching and performance feedback.
Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external constituencies including HL lawyers and administrative departments, law school career services professionals, search firms’ vendors and others.
Keep abreast of current recruiting practices and maintain membership with National Association for Law Placement (NALP) and local legal recruitment city group.
All members of the firm are expected to participate in our Responsible Business program.
Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Associate Recruitment.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRED SKILLS

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Six (6) + years of experience in law firm attorney recruitment preferred.
Three (3) + years of experience in staff/team management.
