The Legal Talent Assistant/Specialist supports the Firm’s Practice Managers on administrative tasks related to associate relations, rotations, reviews and mentor programs.
Job Responsibilities:
Provides general support and assistance to the Practice Managers on an ongoing basis;
Updates and circulates various reports related to professional development;
Prepares new hire assignment charts and materials for Managing Partners’ review;
Assists with administrative logistics related to rotations;
Coordinates review meetings and materials;
Assists in compiling and proofing caucus materials;
Prepares relevant materials for partner mentor and associate advisor programs;
Schedules check-in meetings for associates and members of Legal Talent team;
Provides general assistance on ad-hoc projects; and
Performs other duties, as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree;
1-3 years of professional services experience required, large law firm experience preferred;
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
Proofreading skills a must;
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel;
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal;
Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines, prioritize and meet deadlines;
Must be team oriented;
Ability to deal discreetly with confidential information; and
Availability to work overtime, as needed.
This position is located in our New York office, and currently has a hybrid work schedule, but that is subject to change. The estimated salary range for this position is $55,000 to $75,000 plus overtime. The actual salary offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and where applicable, licensure or certification obtained. Market and Firm factors are also considered.
