The Restructuring Legal Analyst is responsible for managing preparations for representation of distressed companies in all aspects of Chapter 11 reorganizations and out-of-court restructurings. Including maintaining the central case file, managing pleadings, correspondence, memos, client documents, and court filings. Prioritize and manage multiple cases/projects. Team oriented with a collaborative focus. A JD is required for this position.
Essential Functions: (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented and changed as necessary.)
Manages Chapter 11 bankruptcy matters and coordinates preparation and filing of related legal documents
Coordinates logistics and preparation of materials for Court filings, hearings, auctions, and client meetings
Manages process of drafting and revising monthly, quarterly, and final fee applications
Researches local rules of procedure for relevant court venues, obtains information relating to venue; obtains precedent from other cases in same venue
Drafts routine filings (e.g. attorney appearances, notices of filings, notices of motions, bankruptcy petitions, pleadings)
Reviews legal cites for proper format, content and standing (Westlaw, Lexis; Blue Book)
Assist with electronic court filing of bankruptcy related documents
Interacts with outside entities (clients, court personnel, witnesses, consultants, noticing agents, creditors etc.); and Manages Hearing Preparation
Sets up and manages remote offices and support (e.g. remote office setup and logistics)
Arrange service of filed pleadings with noticing agents
Prepares documents and hearing materials
Compiles and tracks trial exhibits
Prepares proposed orders for Court submission

Education, Work Experience, Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess 4-5 years of experience preferably in a law firm handling complex Chapter 11 Bankruptcy matters for large corporate clients, supervising teams, preparing for trial, and managing trial support. Candidates must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, project management, analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Skilled in getting things done and overcoming obstacles to reach the goal, flexible in adapting to constantly changing priorities. The ability to work effectively in a team environment is required. JD is required. Flexibility to accommodate for travel and overtime is required. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds is required.
Technologies/Software:
MS Office proficiency required.
Electronic filing and Pacer Pro proficiency required.
Knowledge of Carpe Diem, Westlaw, and SharePoint is a plus.
