Summary
The MiTek Legal & Compliance Department is seeking an experienced and motivated general commercial attorney to join its growing in-house team. This individual will need to be able to effectively implement standard processes across a wide variety of business units, while building and maintaining strong relationships with the relevant stakeholders. This individual must possess a high level of integrity and professionalism.
The ideal candidate will be able to work in a highly collaborative and innovative environment to develop and scale a world class in-house corporate function. Significant experience with software licenses, construction contracts, supply chain contracts, corporate maintenance, and compliance programs is a plus. Experience in (or the willingness to learn) employment law, intellectual property, M&A, or litigation highly desired.
The pay range for this position is $150-175K/year. Base pay offered may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Under the guidance of senior in-house attorneys, the candidate will be primarily responsible for the company’s contract and compliance needs. The successful candidate will:
• Support all facets of legal services of a corporation, in particular contract drafting, negotiating and review, and policy drafting and enforcement.
• Responsible for reviewing and approving routine contracts.
• Provide a full range of legal and compliance advice, including relating to contracts and policies across a wide range of practice areas.
• Develop and implement contract-related processes, procedures and reporting to support the company’s global business.
• Collaborate with other attorneys in the department on complex projects to provide meaningful and practical advice and recommendations.
• Supervise outside counsel relationships, including staffing, work product, and budgets.
• Work closely with internal business clients across the company to identify and proactively address and resolve potential contractual risks to meet business objectives.
